The Power of Prayer
Happy March! Life goes by so fast! The days sometimes drag, yet the years fly by!
When Ronnie told me about his vision for Inspirations For The Soul with amy; I thought what a great idea, but knew it would stretch, frustrate and challenge me. Writing is not my strength; I struggle with what to blog about. Will I strike a cord or nerve with someone? Will it even be read? I have to let a topic come to me naturally in order to do my best work. Forcing something is never good.
Last month, we talked about L-O-V-E. This month I am going to talk about the power of prayer. My faith is my life. Without God…we have nothing…we are nothing…and struggle daily. Prayer is just a conversation with God…I talk to him all day long. I know without a doubt that he listens to every word I say and everything that is on my heart. If people ask me to pray for them, I do it at that particular moment. I like to write down prayer requests, so that I can check in with those individuals later on. The number one person I pray for is Ronnie. He is my earthly leader, soulmate and best friend. There is a series of books on the power of prayer as a spouse, parent and many more. Prayer is powerful, but if your heart is not clean before God you are sabotaging them. Our hearts must be pure and in the right capacity. I look back at different relationships and realize that I was exhausting my own prayers because my heart was not where it needed to be.
What are different things that keep our hearts from not being pure:
1. Resentment
2. Not forgiving others
3. Bitterness
4. Being self-righteous
5. Anger
Do you harbor any of these feelings toward anyone in your life? You have to come clean with yourself first before you can be transparent with others. Just as loving others, you have to love yourself first. Change is only something that you can do. Examine your life and heart first before anything else. Changing your thoughts and feelings and having a clean heart will give you an eye-opening and surprising reaction to a prayer life that will sustain longer than you can imagine.
Get your heart right…and be a blessing to others…Prayer is Powerful !
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Mathew 7:7
YOU ARE ENOUGH!
God Bless,
Amy ❤️
