October is one of my favorite times of year….the smells of fall, hoodies with shorts, campfires and Down Syndrome Awareness month!

Raised by his grandparents, Ronnie (my amazing husband) has wonderful memories he shared with his uncle, Vincent aka “Bubby.” Upon his birth, the doctor informed Bubby’s parents that his life would most likely be cut short because he was born with many health issues as well as an extra number 21 chromosome. People born with that extra number 21 chromosome are known as having Down Syndrome. God’s plan for Bubby had him bless this earth for 41 years. I never had the honor of meeting Bubby here on earth, but look forward to the day I meet him in Heaven.

Ronnie and I discussed many times about how important it was to keep Bubby’s memory and legacy going. In 2011, Ronnie founded Bubby’s Friends Foundation, LLC as a Non Profit Public Charity. In 2013, BFF became a 501(c)3 Federally Tax Exempt Charity. BFF's main purpose is to financially assist individuals with Down Syndrome in paying outstanding medical expenses. BFF has been blessed through the generous donations from companies and individuals making it possible to help countless families.

In order to help bring in donations, I have participated in many different running events throughout the years. But, as everyone knows, when Covid hit things shut down including my running events thereby bringing the incoming donations to a stop. Ronnie and I had to brainstorm and come up with new ways of keeping Bubby’s Friends Foundation afloat.

My love for GOD, painting custom signs and helping others inspired Ronnie to create and develop my website, “Inspirations For The Soul with Amy.” When merchandise is purchased from “IFTS” or a Live Video Chat with me is booked, the proceeds go to Bubby’s Friends Foundation. We are continuously striving to grow our Bubby’s Friends Family and with your generosity we will be able to do so.

Through Prayer, introducing friends & family to BFF, your generous donations and purchasing from my website you would be instrumental in blessing many individuals with that awesome extra chromosome.

Individuals with Down Syndrome are the most loving people I have ever met. I hope that you have the blessing of meeting and knowing someone with Down Syndrome because you will be changed forever!
