MIND

Let's talk Mental Health

Our mental health is so important. Mental health deals with how we think, feel and behave. It affects our daily lives, routine, relationships and our physical health. Our environment, stresses, isolation, loneliness, abuse are a few factors that affect our mental health. If you do not take care of your mental health; depression, anxiety and panic attacks often arise. There are many different alternatives to help with mental health.

Meet Flash...my sloth friend that lives in Honduras! When in doubt...Be like Flash; slow down and relax!

Here are some helpful ways to be like Flash....

Daily Exercises to help with Mental Health

Pray

Take the proper time each day to talk to GOD. Tell Him how you feel, talk to Him just as you would a great friend or family member.

Meditation

Have quite time for yourself. This is the time where you slow everything day and think of where you are and where you want to be. You can do this while listening to some calming music or environmental sounds like ocean waves crashing or rain drops falling on a metal roof.

Journaling

Purchase a fresh new note book and just start writing about your feelings. The things that you have been through in the past or even the present. Write about a particular situation that is troubling you and how it came to be and how you would like to make it better. You can even write about good things and things that make your heart smile.

Coloring / Painting

Get creative, let your creativity take over for awhile. Color outside the lines for a change. Get a canvas from your local hobby shop and some paints. There doesn't even need to be any kind of theme behind it. You might be surprised just how good it feels to just start slapping some paint on a canvas, aahhhh art!

Organize a room, a space or a drawer in your home

Getting a room in your house organized is a great way to help get your thoughts together. When you live amongst a chaotic environment your mind tends to lean the same way. Organize your environment and it will help organize your mind

Clean Something

Clean is pretty much the same as organize. You can clean your car for example which is an extension of your house really. There are other ways to clean as well, for instance, if your in a bad relationship you can clean it up by getting out of it and moving on.

Take a Nap

I think this is the easiest and most used by everyone. Take a nap get some rest. A rested body is a strong vessel for the mind to get strong as well.

Read a Book

Strengthen your mind by reading books on self development. Reading a book that teaches you something new is a fantastic way to rejuvenate the mind, spirit and the soul.

Listen to a Podcast

Listen to a podcast that makes you happy. Listen to a podcast that stimulates you. Listen to a podcast that make you want to achieve your goals. Listen to a podcast that is funny and makes you have big belly laughs.

AFFIRMATION:    Each new day is filled with infinite potential and possibility.
