IFTS September 2022 Blog
Happy September Friends!
I have talked about emotional health and how it can take a toll on every aspect of our wellbeing. The struggles we go through daily, how we cope with the good & bad and acknowledging our feelings are real and valid.
What else can help when we are anxious, depressed or struggling with something out of our control? What can bring a smile to my face instantly?
My husband and my fur & feathered babies! They are smart and so loyal! Whether you like animals or not…this shout out goes to man’s best friend…our pets!
"You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are gray
You'll never know, dear
How much I love you
Please don't take
My sunshine away"
Puppydog, Millie Grace, Robichaux, Skye and all of our ducks (I will spare you all of their names) have helped my emotional health and taught me so much about life. Yes…I kiss, hug and sing to my babies all the time and "You Are My Sunshine is their favorite song!" 😂
🐾 How can a dog help with your emotional health?
• Reduce Stress
Tests have shown that petting a dog can help to lower your blood pressure. The “feel good” hormones dopamine & oxytocin are released when playing with our four legged friends!
• Keep You Active
Getting a long walk in or running around with your dog keeps you moving!
• Bring Comfort
They are always there for you. They can sense your mood and feelings. When I’m sad, happy or annoyed…they know!
• Constant Entertainment
The personalities of my fur and feathered babies keep me laughing. They are just like kids….they know how to turn on the charm when they misbehave, what to do to make you happy and how to get under your skin!
🐾 What I have learned from my boys;
-
Live For Today
-
Be Loyal
-
Love Unconditionally
-
Be You
-
Run & Play
-
It’s Ok To Get Muddy
-
Naps Are A Requirement In Your Day.
DEDICATED TO OUR FRIENDS AND THEIR SUNSHINES!
All of my babies are rescues…although I am convinced that they rescue us! Having a dog is the best, although they come with responsibility.
I encourage you to volunteer, donate, foster and/or rescue your own fur baby! Ronnie and I donate to the Red Collar Rescue. RCR is an amazing organization, this is where we adopted Robichaux from.
Please check out RCR’s website and consider donating today.
Where can you find all the supplies, needs and wants for your animals….
They are helpful with any questions you have from products to training advice. Anytime, I have needed to return an item; they refund my account and encourage me to donate the item to an animal rescue or shelter.

This quote is spot on:
🐶 A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.
Be blessed!
🐾 YOU ARE ENOUGH! 🐾
