Happy November!
The crisp fall air, the smells of the holidays and the debate of when to put up the Christmas tree have been running through our minds. The stresses of the holiday season are among us! How is the year almost over, whose house do we go to for the holidays, do we fly or drive, shopping for our loved ones and the dreaded tax time. I find that we focus so much of our time on the what if… how am I supposed to… and all the stresses during this time of year.
I love November! The changing of the leaves, the smells of cinnamon, pumpkin and nutmeg, pumpkin carving and cheering on the Astros in the World Series!
November is a time to reflect on all we are thankful for, but are you thankful everyday or just during November? Do you wake up in the morning and thank God for another day or for another chance to make a difference in someone's life?
This month I want to share what I am thankful for!
-
My best yes…God! I know he is with me every step I take. I’m thankful for his guidance, direction, mercy and love. I am a sinner saved by grace. I stand on His truth and promises.
“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” -Revelation 22: 12-13
-
My soulmate…Ronnie! The best advice I can give for marriage is to become friends first, do not settle (you deserve the best) and pray for your spouse. Marriage is 100/100; put your whole heart and soul into it daily. Put God 1st, your spouse 2nd and yourself last. Of course, my fur and feathered babies add to the joy I have at home with Ronnie!
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as I Christ God forgave you. -Ephesians 4:32
-
The craziness and support…Family! The fun in dysfunctional goes to my family. Although it hasn’t always been easy, I know they will be there for me. I will always speak truth to them…even though it is not what they want to hear. It is unfortunate that some do not have sweet and supportive families. If this is you; I am sorry and will gladly step in to be the bossy older or younger sister you never wanted.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. -1 Thessalonians 5:11
-
My cheerleaders…Soul Sisters & Friends! I have met a lot of people in my lifetime, but I have a core group of women in my life that are my tribe. It is important to have these types of people in your life that you can call on when you need a shoulder to cry on, advice or a good belly laugh. These individuals should build you up, tell you truth and impact your life for the better.
Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice. -Proverbs 27:9
I encourage you to sit down by yourself or with someone you love and write down what you are thankful for. Life is not easy and it is hard being positive, but starting your day in GOD’s Word and talking about what you are thankful for can help jumpstart your day in a positive direction.
Here's to a great holiday season! Eat that extra piece of pie!
Be blessed sweet friends because YOU ARE A BLESSING!
❤️Amy
