Happy December & Happy Birthday Jesus!
It’s my FAVORITE time of the year! The smells of Christmas are upon us! Freshly baked cookies, warm apple cider, Douglas Firs and all things cinnamon!
December always gives me the good feels of people helping others and family traditions. Miracles take place bringing hope, peace and joy to those in need.
What are some fun traditions you have with your family?
Have you thought about starting something new and giving back to those less fortunate? Children need to see that Christmas isn’t about them and the toys Santa brings.
🎄Instead of gift giving to loved ones; make a donation to their favorite charity in their name. There are so many charities and people that need your help! We donate to Bubby's Friends Foundation, helping earthly angels with Down Syndrome pay for medical expenses and Red Collar Rescue, an animal rescue where we adopted Robichaux
🎄Have your child pick out a toy for a child their age and donate it to a local church or toy drive.
🎄Volunteer serving food to the homeless at a food bank or go to an animal shelter and have some play time with a furry friend.
🎄Get your favorite warm beverage and go look at Christmas lights and then watch your favorite Christmas movie at home.
Even though this should be a fun time for all; holidays can be a struggle with grieving the loss of loved ones, conflict between family members or just dealing with the hustle & bustle of the season.
How do you avoid the extra stress and keep a positive state of mind during this crazy time of year?
1. Think of what you can do to make life easier during these times.
2. Make a to do list and stay focused.
3. Commit to limiting the activities you go too. Consider skipping parties, so you aren’t running around like a chicken with your head cut off.
4. Avoid crowded places; the mall or store. Do your grocery shopping online…it’s amazing!
5. Remember what the true reason for this season is about…the birth of a baby that came to save you and me!
I challenge you this holiday season to grab your family and do something that will bring value and impact someones life that needs to see kindness and feel loved.
May you and your family have a blessed Christmas season!
God Bless and see you in 2024!
You Are Enough!
❤️ Amy
